Ich bin Wissenschafts- und Technikforscher und beschäftige mich in meiner Arbeit mit den Visionen und Infrastrukturen der Datafizierung sowie deren soziale, politische und ethische Auswirkungen. Insbesondere interessiert mich, wie Daten produziert, bewertet und zirkuliert werden und wie diese Praktiken Formen des Wissens und der Governance in Bereichen wie Sicherheit, Überwachung und Medizin prägen.
Meine Bachelorstudien absolvierte ich in den Fächern Philosophie (BA) an der Universität Wien und Sozioökonomie (BSc) an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien. Anschließend studierte ich an der London School of Economics and Political Science im Masterstudiengang Politische Soziologie. Ich begann meine Promotion in Wissenschafts- und Technikforschung am STS Institut der Universität Wien (unter Betreuung von Ulrike Felt) sowie als Stipendiat der Österreichischen Akademie der Wissenschaften. Meine Forschung konzentrierte sich hierbei auf die soziotechnischen Visionen zukünftiger Grenzen und deren Einfluss auf die Konstruktion europäischer Datenbanken zur Migrationskontrolle. Während meines Doktorats erhielt ich das Marietta-Blau-Stipendium der Österreichischen Agentur für Bildung und Internationalisierung (OeAD).
Nach Erhalt meines Doktortitels arbeitete ich als Postdoc-Researcher am Department für Philosophie der Universität Bologna, wo ich Teil des ERC-Grant-Projekts Processing Citizenship – Digital registration of migrants as co-production of citizens, territory and Europe bei Annalisa Pelizza war. Im Oktober 2023 wurde ich Postdoctoral Fellow der European New School of Digital Studies an der Europäischen Universität Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder), und arbeite daraufhin auch als Researcher am dortigen Lehrstuhl für Soziologie der Technik bei Jan-Hendrik Passoth.
Seit Oktober 2024 bin ich Teil der Forschungsgruppe am TUM-Lehrstuhl für Philosophie und Geschichte der Wissenschaft und Technik von Sabina Leonelli und engagiere mich in der Ethical Data Initiative, in der als Education Lead tätig bin (https://ethicaldatainitiative.org).
Derzeit bin ich außerdem Friedrich-Schiedel-Stipendiat am TUM Think Tank und untersuche die Entwicklung medizinischer Gesichter durch Gesichtserkennungstechnologien.
