Cansu Güner is a postdoctoral researcher in the Science and Technology Policy Research Group. She previously earned her Master's degree in International Relations from Koç University in 2013 and completed her doctoral degree at the Technical University of Munich, Department of Science, Technology, and Society, in December 2023.
Her academic interests are at the intersection of Science and Technology Studies (STS), Feminist Technoscience, Entrepreneurial Studies, and Valuation Studies. Her doctoral dissertation explores the co-shaping of gender and entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on new forms of living practices in entrepreneurial techno-cultures. Currently, she is working on a postdoctoral project centered on developing, implementing, and evaluating gender awareness training for members of hiring and tenure committees.
Cansu is affiliated with the Center for Science, Technology, Medicine, and Society (CSTMS) at UC Berkeley, the STS Hub at San Francisco State University, and the Joachim Herz Stiftung.
