Alice is a Postdoctoral Researcher and Lecturer at the Hochschule für Politik München (Technical University of Munich), working at the intersection of journalism studies, political communication and social movement studies. She completed her doctoral thesis on 'Solidarity in and through Journalism' in July 2024, and previously worked as part of Prof. Stefanie Walter's Emmy Noether Research Group, 'The media portrayal of majority and minority groups' at TUM. She has a background in Human Geography, Political Science and the social sciences, from her undergraduate and masters studies at the University of Sheffield, Pompeu Fabra University, and Humboldt University in Berlin. Currently, her qualitative research focuses on solidarity practices in the field of journalism, and the experiences, perceptions and communication approaches of activists in Germany.
Alice currently teaches courses in qualitative interviewing and social science research design at the HfP.
