Members of TUM STS visited the Science Democracy Conference in Zürich August 29th-31st.
This gathering of STS scholars from across the globe brought fruitful discussions of STS theoretical and conceptual foundations, new directions for the field, and reflections on ongoing projects. From the innovation, society and public policy team, Marlise Schneider and Sebastian Pfotenhauer presented on regional innovation policy in the US, Cindy Rentrop shared her research on visibility and hidden regions in Europe, and Sophia Knopf and Alexander Wentland discussed the politics of digital twins. We look forward to next year’s SDN!
