Leonelli hosted the ”Openness and Inequity in Research” symposium at the biannual meeting of the Philosophy of Science Association 2024, New Orleans, the most important conference in the field. The symposium examined forms of inequity, injustice and unfairness that may manifest in efforts to implement Open Science policies and tools across highly diverse research methods and environments around the world. It featured talks by Nathanael Sheehan, Rose Trappes, Carole Lee, Sabina Leonelli and Helen Longino, and is sponsored by the ERC project “A Philosophy of Open Science for Diverse Research Environments”. The symposium papers are being reviewed for a special issue in the journal Social Epistemology.
