International Workshop: Empirical Methods for a Social Epistemology of Interdisciplinary Research – 28 July 2025, Munich

This event brings together members of the SoPP (Sociology of the Purpose Project) and the PHIL_OS (Philosophy of Open Science) projects to explore empirical and especially qualitative methods for studying interdisciplinary research practices.
The workshop will feature two main sessions:
• One focused on the Purpose Project (SoPP)
• One on Open Science Practices (PHIL_OS)
Speakers include: Sabina Leonelli, James Griesemer, Elihu Gerson, Shane Jinson, Peter Hunt, Kelli Barr, Nathaniel Sheehan, Paola Castaño, Fotis Tsiroukis, and others.
