Devika Prakash is a postdoctoral researcher in the Innovation, Society and Public Policy research group and part of the TransforM cluster. She completed her PhD in Planning and Decision Analysis from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm in 2025. Her thesis examined how national smart city policies rewire technologies, expertise and organizations in cities through the building of smart city control rooms. Her broader interests lie at the intersection of technology and urban life, and she is currently developing a research project around transformative future mobility solutions such as urban air mobility. She has also published on the media circulation of lab research on haplotypes and its effects on the racialisation of society. She has a background in planning, science and technology studies and architecture.
